I just saw a story on ABC news tonight about Apple refusing to sell their beloved iPad's for cash. They would only sell them to credit card customers. They claim that it was to cut down on gray market sales.
Well, sorry Apple Geniuses. Have you ever taken a moment and read the words on a dollar bill? It says, "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE." That means that you can't legally refuse cash as payment in a transaction.
Apple has quickly changed course after national publicity of their misguided sales policy. Apple will now sell an iPad for cash if you register for an Apple account at the time of purchase. I guess Mr. Jobs' latest attempt to permanently affix his hand in your pocket hasn't quite been thwarted. But those dang cash customers will probably just use their iPads to surf the web instead of using them as the consumption appliances that Apple intended. Deadbeats.

Check out the comments from Larry on my post about Apache configuration. He was getting a 403 error and it turned out to be an issue with the permissions on his home directory.
